Light. It’s a beautiful thing: the warmth it gives, its humbly exposing nature, and the way it fills in all the smallest of spaces. I find a cure to my darkness in its aura, but where I’m cured it cast shadows down upon the rest of the world. Horrible shadows. The kind that burn, the kind that morph once structurally sound apartment buildings into nothing but fumes, and the kind that take seven human lives and leave them as a disgusting fog of remnants. I’m not sure if this light I so love is worth the damn shadows or if I should just suffer so there isn’t anymore… accidents.
